TX Series

The 150-Watt CM1260 contains a single 12" speaker and horn. Each enclosure features a 1" Mylar, high frequency driver firing through a 40º x 60º for unsurpassed sonic clarity. Time-tested passive crossover networks (12 dB per octave) ensure sonic accuracy and CTL™ protection circuitry guards against damage to the high frequency drivers.

In the lower frequency range the rugged custom design woofer combines solid performance with outstanding reliability. The enclosures feature inset input-jack plates, which contain binding post and 1/4" phone connectors. The enclosures are painted with a white two-part epoxy and incorporate curved, anti-resonance speaker grille constructed of perforated 16-gauge steel. Both enclosure and grille can be easily refinished and feature a grille clip attachment system for easy removal and recovering. Painstaking attention to details of design is taken while the enclosures are constructed of highly rigid 15mm (.5906") Baltic birch plywood.

The 100-Watt C860 is a two-way enclosure containing a single 8" speaker and a 1" Mylar high frequency driver firing through a conical tractrix horn. The C2890 is the lowest profile cabinet in the Coliseum line. This 2 x 8-inch / 1-inch horn, 200 watt loudspeaker is designed as the ultimate box for installations where sight lines might be an issue. The C2890 can be flown vertically or horizontally. The rotatable 90° x 30° horn means that high frequency dispersion can be tailored to suit the cabinet’s placement. The unique cabinet shape makes for tighter arrays and the ability to fly the cabinet much closer to walls and ceilings than conventional design loudspeaker boxes.

The Coliseum CU15 is a radical installation loudspeaker cabinet design from Yorkville Sound. Ultra clear reproduction through the high-mid band with extremely linear frequency response is achieved using the patented Unity™ horn technology, licensed from Sound Physics Lab. The Unity™ Horn in the Coliseum CU15 makes it the ideal loudspeaker cabinet for use in any installation where clarity and intelligibility are paramount.

 Unity™ horn technology combines a single 1.75-inch compression driver with three 5-inch ceramic magnet midrange drivers on a single highly efficient conical horn. This combines high and mid frequencies driver components in a single 60 x 60 degree conical horn that produces frequencies from 300Hz to 20kHz. All four-component drivers mounted in a Unity™ horn measure and act like a single point source. Unlike multi-driver two or three way full range speaker systems, there is no self-interference between the various components at crossover and unlike conventional loudspeakers systems the polar plots are free of lobes and large changes in directivity versus frequency. In the CU15, the cone drivers for the mid section are running well below the rated output capacity in normal operation, they are +2dB more efficient than the compression driver and the group of three handles about two times the power. In operation they are padded down about -7 dB to match the sensitivity of the low frequency section.

As a result of efficient horn loading and high headroom, mid range harmonic distortion is typically 1/10 to 1/100 of that measured in most speakers at the same SPL, far lower than any 2-inch compression driver. The CU15 handles 800 watts of power, has integrated flypoints on all sides, Speakon, binding post and ¼-inch inputs and can easily be installed in any application or array quickly and easily. Proprietary custom rigging hardware is also available for the CU15 allowing two or three box arrays to be installed in the ideal splay angle for maximum horizontal coverage with multiple downward angles to choose from.

Based on the popular Unity™ U15 loudspeaker introduced in late 2003, the Coliseum CU15 enclosure has been redesigned specifically for the installation market. Unlike the touring version of this cabinet, the CU15 enclosure is covered in an unobtrusive white paintable finish, and it has been stripped of extraneous touring hardware not required on an installation loudspeaker box. The CU15 has been further reinforced for installation, and has seventeen integrated flypoints on the enclosure, making it extremely easy to install on any angle, hung as a single cabinet or in any array.

The CU15 is one of the many Yorkville speaker enclosures equipped with flypoints for overhead suspension applications. The CU15FH hardware kit has been specifically designed to expand the enclosure’s already advanced mounting capabilities.

The CU15FH installation system is the ideal installation solution for installing CU15 enclosures in multi-box arrays. The CU15FH kit allows enclosures to be mounted in two or more cabinet arrays with greater ease than employing individual three-point hangs for each cabinet. (An arduous chore when attempting to install clusters of loudspeakers using standard eyebolts, shackles and cables. The CU15FH is easily mounted strategically to the top and bottom of the enclosure.

A single CU15FH kit allows a pair of CU15 cabinets to be clustered in a tight-pack array at their optimum splay and more can be attached together for larger clusters (3 or more enclosures). The staggered hole pattern in the CU15FH allows for a multitude of downward-tilting angles simply by moving the shackle towards the rear of the cabinet array. If further down-tilt is required, simply attach an eyebolt in the pullback position of the CU15 and use a cable to pullback the cabinet until the desired angle has been achieved.

IMPORTANT!! The rigging of loudspeaker systems is an extremely serious matter!

Overhead rigging requires extensive experience, including (but not limited to) calculating working load limits, hardware installation, and periodic safety inspection of all hardware and cabinetry. If you lack these qualifications, do not attempt the installation yourself, but instead use a professional structural rigger. Improper installation can result in bodily injury or death. Consult a structural engineer to calculate added loads upon the building. Structural reinforcement may be necessary to insure a safe installation.

The LT-70V is a rack-mountable transformer unit for use in situations where multiple transformer-equipped speakers need to be powered from one amplifier. The LT-70V's toroidial transformer has over 300 watts of capacity without the added weight of an iron core transformer.

The MT70V is a transformer unit in an enclosed box that may be mounted inside of any non 70V cabinet where a conversion for an installation at 70V may be required. It is easily weatherproofed for situations where it can’t be mounted internally. The MT70V's toroidal transformer has power taps at 6, 12, 25, 50, 100 and 150 watts and features a barrier strip for ease of installation at all power tap levels.
